Wow, I feel like we're in the middle of a whirlwind of Minnesota Wild home games. Because...we are! Sadly, our Minnesota Wild boys lost their game on Saturday night to the St. Louis Blues. Our offensive line is in desperate need of a quick revival. And we really need to figure out how to score on the PP. Wasting five precious power plays is absolutely unexcusable. Where did their game go? So here's the top three changes that need to be made for this Minnesota Wild roster to really get their butts in gear for the remaining six home games over the next two weeks:
1. STOP PUTTING BRENT BURNS ON OFFENSE. He's a d-man, and a really good one. Play to your strengths, Lemaire.
2. Stop whining and trade Gaborik. It's much more worthwhile for us to get some young, hungry guys in here to spice up the Wild roster mix than to have our so-called superstar accruing dough while he sits on the sidelines (*cough* from a non-hockey sustained injury *cough*).
3. Beef up the morale so they guys are more confident on the PP and on the ice in general. Maybe Lemaire should offer rewards for good play, you know, a little extra encouragement. Perhaps I should bake some cookies for the boys. Yeah, my cookies are that good. Hey! I'm talking about REAL cookies here. Getcher mind outta the gutter.
The Minnesota Wild play Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals tonight at the Xcel Energy Center. And speaking of games, I need to buy Minnesota Wild tickets for a Wednesday or Thursday or Sunday game in December for a girl's night. I'm thinking it's going to end up being the December 28th game against the Blackhawks, but REALLY want to go to the New Year's Eve game against the San Jose Sharks. But I don't think the girls are going to go for that one.
In other news, this weekend was supposed to be the weekend that I got TONS of things crossed off of my pre-vacation-to-do-list. And I had SUCH good intentions. But...being the workaholic that I am (heh) I spent some quality time at the office on Saturday AND Sunday.
And met up with the ladies on Saturday night.

wait for it...
waaaaaaaait for it....
making snow hats for my puppies:
Yep. Made them myself. Are you impressed? Or just concerned that I don't get out enough?
Only now I still have fifty bajillion things to do, and all I have to show for the weekend are these two hats. I'm so great at prioritizing.

2 passed notes:
I really like the chin straps - LOL!
woah - those pink hats freak me out. I agree Gaborik needs to go. I had a poll on my blog and 34% of the people predicted he would play 0-10 games this year - I think the people of Minnesota are ready for him to move on.
