Saturday, Septemeber 20th, 2008. Ralph Engelstad Arena, Grand Forks, North Dakota. Be there or be square.
Why, you ask? The Minnesota Wild will start training camp - open to the public - at the northern arena (due to the Xcel Energy Center being out of commission recovering from the RNC). I'm thinking that this would be a super fun weekend trip, if only it wasn't a four and a half hour drive each way!!! (not to mention how insane the cost of gas would be for that drive)
AND the Minnesota Wild have announced their official preseason schedule. I was getting a little concerned, seeing as to how the regular season had already been announced. But here's the info, just the home games, all will be played at the Xcel Energy Center:
Wednesday, September 24th: Minnesota Wild vs. Columbus Blue Jackets
Tuesday, September 30th: Minnesota Wild vs. Chicago Blackhawks
Wednesday, October 1st: Minnesota Wild vs. Buffalo Sabres
The Xcel is never full for the pre-season games, which means Minnesota Wild ticket prices will be AWESOME for these games...and I can afford to go to all three! Can't wait!
